Juanita Jackson Mitchell
Juanita Jackson Mitchell grew up in Baltimore and is the matriarch of one of Baltimore?s oldest civil rights families. First African/American woman to practice law in Maryland in 1950. She was co-founder of the Baltimore Citywide Young People's Forum in 1931 which provided help in finding jobs for African/Americans during the Depression. Member of the NAACP National administration in 1936.
